Belgium captain Kevin De Bruyne has refused to blame the referee for his side’s 1-0 Euro 2024 defeat to Slovakia on Wednesday. After VAR took away two goals from their goal-scoring football decision. Saying it was up to them to get back on track.

Europe’s ‘Red Devils’ trailed Slovakia in the 7th minute through Ivan Schranz, but came close in the second half with two goals from Romelu Lukaku, but were disallowed for offside and handball before creating successive chances. UFABET

Of course, the Man City star is disappointed but he doesn’t blame anyone but them for not being sharp enough.

“Football is like this. Follow the rules. The referee blows the whistle. Accept it.” He opened his mouth to ‘Het Last News’.

“Our game was good in the first 20 minutes. We started off strong but unfortunately made mistakes that allowed our opponents to score goals. After that, we took some time to get our rhythm back.”

“Of course, the second half was better. We created chances, put pressure on the opponent and hardly lost the ball. It’s a pity that even though we didn’t play badly, we still didn’t score.”

“Now looking ahead to the second game (Saturday against Romania), we have to be more efficient, we have to maintain the performance from the second half of last night’s game.” De Bruyne
